Replicating modern hi-gain guitar tones like a good RAT distortion or Big Muff fuzz clone, the Rowin LEF-305 Holy War features Hi, Lo and Off Boost options that can be selected using the 3-way toggle switch to create different tones for your need - soloing, chunky riffs, or just another layer of grimey dirt on the booster pedalboard.
This is a very versatile pedal and is like an old triple RAT distortion pedal on steroids. This is a very cool pedal with a lot of very tube-oriented tone. 5/5 distortion level – our heaviest pedal, hands down.

- Analog circuitry with true bypass
The vital difference between analog and digital circuitry is comparable to pixels in digital images. Viewed from afar, the digital recreation of an analog wave signal may seem smooth, but when you look closely there are tiny discrete steps as the signal tries to approximate values. Analog waves are smooth and continuous, digital waves are stepping, square, and discrete.
- Warm and full sound
Separate gain and tone controls allow you to sculpt the modern high gain tones rich with harmonic over and under tones, lots of sustain, crunch, body and thick tight burn.
With the toggle switch Lo- Boost mode the pedal has a heavier chunk and thud to it, chimey heavy rhythm and solo parts with sustain and body, great palm muting tones.
With the toggle switch in the Hi-Boost position, the pedal produces the tone you need for soaring solos, with killer sustain and body with harmonics. This pedal sounds great in all 3 positions. You can put it in the high boost position, roll the tone and distortion back around 12 O clock and have the ACDC type of marshall-esque tone.
